What Is Voices Of Design?
Voices of Design is a new initiative The Center for Architecture & Design created. The mission of CFAD is to make architecture and design accessible to all. As an organization, they strive to achieve a future Columbus that values architecture and design, genuinely representing the breadth and diversity of our community.
Voices Of The Design is the next step in their mission. The initiative is a free annual publication distributed through 614NOW magazine featuring a jury-selected collection of projects, programs, and initiatives that amplify the impact of design in Columbus. The jury consisted of community leaders, city officials, and other creative executive leaders throughout Columbus.

CEO Kurt Hoeft and Megan O’Hara spoke briefly at the event, presenting why an IT company would attend such an occasion in the first place.
As engineers, we know that the EasyIT team does not participate in the design process. IT is still a critical part of designers’ essential and creative daily work.
We were proud to present at this event and take the opportunity to thank those gifted with design talent for working on the Voices of Design initiative. We further explained our role in this mission: providing reliable IT support to fuel those design & architectural companies.
After all, this isn’t a pencil and paper industry anymore. It’s no longer efficient for architects and designers to put pencil to paper every time something has to be drafted. It takes more time, the materials are more susceptible to damage and loss, and it’s not what the client expects anymore.
If a client enlists the services of an architecture firm in 2022, they’ll expect the work to be done in a digital setting—anything more outdated would undoubtedly cause them to lose faith in the firm. That’s why technology is so essential to what architects and designers do—and so, it goes without saying that IT services are equally as important.
Ensuring that drafting software is appropriately configured, patched, and maintained is vital to the work designers do every day—that’s not to mention all the other technology they rely on for record-keeping, communication, and more.
This is why we’ve worked hard to develop invaluable experience and expertise with the technologies architects and designers rely on.
